Overview
Our client is a leading Training Provider orgnaisation. They currently have a new vacancy for a Generic Assessor to join their team in Derby. The role will involve the delivery of Apprenticeships in Customer Service, Busines Admin and Team Leading. The ability to deliver PMO and up to Level 5 in Management would be desirable.
The successful candidate will plan, prepare and teach apprenticeship courses and Functional Skills delivery in Maths and English. Supporting and developing learners to gain skills and qualifications that will enable successful achievement of Apprenticeship programmes and enhance their career prospects.
The role will be based in Derby, covering the East Midlands (Derby / Nottingham, and sometime Leicester)
Candidates must have the following skills, experience and qualifications to be considered:
- Assessor Award TAQA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent
- Teaching Qualification PTLLS or equivalent
- Ability to deliver Business Admin, Customer Service, Team Leading & Management
- Hold a Functional skills qualification Level 2 in English, Maths
- Competent in delivering Level 5 in management (desirable)
- Vocational competence in Performing Manufacturing Operations or Warehousing desirable
- Ability to train and assess learners towards achievement of Apprenticeship frameworks and standards
- Ability to motivate and encourage learner participation
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching and assessing post-16 learners
- Communication, Time management and Organisational skills

OVERVIEW: MANAGEMENT ASSESSOR/TUTOR
This is a newly created role working for a very well established training provider that offers quality assured and flexible training at all levels from pre-entry traineeships to foundation degree equivalent programmes.
Experienced in delivering Higher Level Management qualifications, you will be responsible for Teaching and Assessing Team Leading and Management apprenticeships up to Level 5 in a classroom environment and in the work place across the West Yorkshire area. You will also be required to deliver Functional Skills qualifications up to Level 2. Acting as a mentor you will be guiding and supporting your learners through their qualifications and working towards timely completions whilst providing regular updates on progress to the employer. 
 You will need to have relevant occupational experience in a managerial position and be flexible on travel across the West Yorkshire area. 
 A full UK driving license is essential for this role. You will need to be flexible with travel along with the ability to be well organised and manage your own diary.
A DBS check will be required prior to starting this role. 
 ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: MANAGEMENT ASSESSOR / TUTOR
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant occupational experience in a Team Leading / Managerial position
  • Previous experience working as a work based learning assessor

Duties:

  • Deliver full training and support learners through their Functional Skills - Maths, English and ICT to level 2.
  • Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather quality evidence towards their qualifications.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s need.

Essential Requirements:
  • Must hold a recognised Internal Verifier award (D34, V1, IQA).
  • Recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA.
  • Proven experience as an IQA for Apprenticeships in Management levels 3/4/5
  • Experience of Assessing Higher Apprenticeships in Management to level 5.
  • Must hold sufficient competency in management at Operations Manager / Regional Manager / Learning & Development Manager / Business Manager etc...
  • Ideally hold a ILM or Management qualification at level 3 or above
  • Excellent knowledge of SFA funding compliance.
  • Professional conduct with the ability to be the face of the company and liaise professionals at a senior level.
  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
