Overview
Our client is a leading Training Provider orgnaisation. They currently have a new vacancy for a Generic Assessor to join their team in Derby. The role will involve the delivery of Apprenticeships in Customer Service, Busines Admin and Team Leading. The ability to deliver PMO and up to Level 5 in Management would be desirable.
The successful candidate will plan, prepare and teach apprenticeship courses and Functional Skills delivery in Maths and English. Supporting and developing learners to gain skills and qualifications that will enable successful achievement of Apprenticeship programmes and enhance their career prospects.
The role will be based in Derby, covering the East Midlands (Derby / Nottingham, and sometime Leicester)
Candidates must have the following skills, experience and qualifications to be considered:
- Assessor Award TAQA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent
- Teaching Qualification PTLLS or equivalent
- Ability to deliver Business Admin, Customer Service, Team Leading & Management
- Hold a Functional skills qualification Level 2 in English, Maths
- Competent in delivering Level 5 in management (desirable)
- Vocational competence in Performing Manufacturing Operations or Warehousing desirable
- Ability to train and assess learners towards achievement of Apprenticeship frameworks and standards
- Ability to motivate and encourage learner participation
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching and assessing post-16 learners
- Communication, Time management and Organisational skills

Health and Social Care Assessor (Level 3) : The essentials.

• Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1,TAQA, CAVA)
• Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)
• Health and Social Care qualification (Level 3 minimum)
• Literacy and Numeracy Qualifications (at Level 2 or Above)
• Sound understanding of E-Portfolio assessment systems
• Full UK driving licence and use of own car

Health and Social Care Assessor (Level 3) : Your experience.

• Occupational history and competence within Health and Social Care
• Experience in a similar role
• Minimum 12 months assessing experience
• To be able to carry out initial and diagnostic assessments including Functional Skills
• The ability to motivate and encourage people
• Accurate report writing and record keeping skills
• Excellent communication skills


Health and Social Care Assessor (Level 3) : The desirables.

• Information, Advice and Guidance qualification (IAG) Qualification
• Knowledge of Internal Quality Assurance processes
• Management experience in the Care sector (Ward Nurse, Care Home Manager etc.)
• Management level qualification in Care (RMA, NVQ 4, Degree etc.)

• Training and Assessing Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care up to Level 3
• Carry out initial and diagnostic assessments including Functional Skills
• Ensure all Learners are inducted correctly and have been given sufficient training
• Must meet all external standards of any course delivery
• Assess and sign of candidate portfolios to the highest standard possible
• Provide Information, Advice and Guidance to allow candidates to progress
• £22,500 per annum
• Company pension schemes
• 26 days holiday + statutory bank holidays
• 40p paid mileage
• Continual Professional Development of 30 hours per annum
• Maximum caseload of 37 learners
• A DBS (formerly CRB) check prior to commencement of role is required.
