Freelance Health & Social Care Assessors & Verifiers required in Birmingham

V Selective Recruitment are currently recruiting qualified Freelance Assessors and Verifiers for our client - A well established college in Birmingham. The role will involve working in the Birmingham / West Midlands region.

We are seeking both Assessors and Verifiers to work on part-time / freelance basis to support their NVQ delivery in the following areas:

. Health & Social Care NVQ 2
. Health & Social Care NVQ 3 (Adults)
. Health & Social Care NVQ 4 (Adults)

Experience of delivering the Registered Manager Award (Adult) would also be advantageous.

* Assessors must hold the A1 or equivalent and have experience of Assessing Health & Social Care
* Verifiers must hold the V1 or equivalent, and have the relevant expereince

As an Freelance NVQ Assessor, you will be required to do workplace assessing along with teaching of the underpinning knowledge. An Assessor A1 qualification is essential for this post. Main duties include . plan and deliver NVQ training programmes and workshops, observe candidates in their workplace, examine candidates' portfolios of evidence, question candidates to assess how they would deal with non-standard situations, provide feedback, offer advice if the standards are not met, sign off the NVQ when all the requirements have been met and keep records of candidates' progress. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense met by applicant/employer.

Freelance NVQ Assessor in East London (Customer Service & Business Admin)

As a Freelance NVQ assessor, you will hold the A1 Award (or equivalent) and ideally hold, or be working towards the V1 Award, and be occupationally competent to deliver Business Admin and/or Customer Service. You must also hold PTLLS or similar

Freelance NVQ Assessor working for a training provider. You will be working with learners involved in the London 2012 games in East London. All learners will be based in or around the Olympic Village in Stratford, East London

Delivery for the apprenticeship is anticipated at circa 4-6 mths (2-3 mths if NVQ only) Level 2 & 3.

Your CV and industry experience must show strong experience relevant to Customer Service and/or Business administration

Remuneration will likely to be on a per portfolio/milestone basis - based on your experience

Freelance NVQ Assessors - More Opportunities out there... What are the benfits?

What with the changes to funding and general uncertainty, you may have noticed that more and more organisations are going down the Freelance / Self Employed Assessor route when hiring NVQ Assessors.
Hiring in this way ensures that Training Providers can pay for work done / per portfolio, and they only need to consider if they will require the Assessor short term. Yes there is less stability for NVQ Assessors who go down this route, but if you can get regular work then this can be more lucrative. Plus lets be honest having a 'Permanent' role as an NVQ Assessor is not always as secure as it sounds - If the funding / learners dry up then most organisations have to let their Assessors go!
