Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be supporting the delivery of effective teaching and learning via work-based qualifications to AAT learners.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Supporting and Assessors to deliver and achieve excellent teaching, learning and assessment to every learner, every time
Providing field support for the Assessor that will show a marked improvement in their performance and support them to reach the appropriate standard
Delivering outstanding quality improvement programmes for your operational region that supports the timely completion of each learner’s journey

Skills/Experience:
Appropriate level qualification relating to your vocational area (ideally AAT L4)
TAQA L4 or equivalent (IQA, V1, D34, etc)
Level 2 English and Maths
An excellent understanding of the principles of quality improvement and a track record of taking actions that impact positively on learner’s experience
A deep commitment to and understanding of Excellence in Learning
Excellent understanding of the quality assurance systems involved with Work Based Learning
Excellent vocational competency in your field

OVERVIEW
Our client is a leading East Midlands based Training Provider Organisation. They currently have an exciting ne vacancy for a Food and Drink Trainer Assessor to join their Skills team in Derby.
The role will involve planning, preparing and teaching apprenticeship courses including Food and Drink Process Operator and Functional Skills delivery in Maths and English. Also to support and develop learners to gain skills and qualifications that will enable successful achievement of Apprenticeship programmes and enhance their career prospects.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A teaching qualification (PTTLS or equivalent)
- An assessor award (TAQA or equivalent)
- A Functional skills qualification Level 2 in English, Maths
- Ability to train and assess learners towards achievement of Apprenticeship frameworks and standards
- Vocational competence in Food and Drink Process Operator (essential)
- Vocational competence in Performing Manufacturing Operations, Warehousing and Management (desirable)
- Ability to motivate and encourage learner participation
- 2 years’ experience in teaching and assessing post-16 learners
- Communication, Time management and Organisational skills
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:
- Assess learners’ progress and maintain records of assessments of learning carried out.
- Undertake initial assessment of learners and design and delivery individual learning plans.
- Prepare and review session plans, schemes of work and teaching and learning materials using initial assessments and marked work to take into account the learners individual needs.
- Effective delivery of work based assessment of Apprentices and target setting.
- Deliver workshops, one to one instruction and/or training sessions relating to knowledge and skills development and to assess candidates in the workplace.
- Plan and deliver contextualised functional skills sessions up to Level 2 in classrooms and workplace.
- Embed Equality and Diversity in the curriculum.
- Prepare learners for exams and assessments to gain appropriate qualifications/End-point assessment
- To consistently deliver a ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ standard of teaching and learning

Our client is a leading Training Provider orgnaisation. They currently have a new vacancy for a Generic Assessor to join their team in Derby. The role will involve the delivery of Apprenticeships in Customer Service, Busines Admin and Team Leading. The ability to deliver PMO and up to Level 5 in Management would be desirable.
The successful candidate will plan, prepare and teach apprenticeship courses and Functional Skills delivery in Maths and English. This is a newly created role working for a very well established training provider that offers quality assured and flexible training at all levels from pre-entry traineeships to foundation degree equivalent programmes.
Experienced in delivering Higher Level Management qualifications, you will be responsible for Teaching and Assessing Team Leading and Management apprenticeships up to Level 5 in a classroom environment and in the work place across the West Yorkshire area. Acting as a mentor you will be guiding and supporting your learners through their qualifications and working towards timely completions whilst providing regular updates on progress to the employer.

 A full UK driving license is essential for this role. You will need to be flexible with travel along with the ability to be well organised and manage your own diary.
A DBS check will be required prior to starting this role.
